About This Spot

Knock Knock Tavern settles comfortably into the rhythm of Waveland’s evenings as a down-to-earth gathering place where locals and visitors alike can unwind without fuss. Its atmosphere strikes an easy balance between lively and laid-back, a place where the music fills the room but doesn’t shout, and the lighting invites you to settle in whether you’re chasing a late night out or simply looking for a familiar spot to catch up with friends.

Stepping inside, you’re greeted by the hum of good conversations, the clatter of pool balls, and the occasional burst of karaoke bravado. There’s a genuine sense of community here that is both welcoming and unpretentious — a bar where the bartenders know names and orders, and where each visit feels like slipping into a well-worn pair of shoes. The pace isn’t rushed; it invites you to savor the moment without distraction.

The menu matches the spirit of the place perfectly: hearty, comforting, and thoughtfully crafted. Whether it’s golden-browned oyster po’boys served with a forkful of nostalgia or freshly grilled chicken wraps paired with crisp, homemade onion rings, the food complements the convivial vibe. This isn’t the kind of place to find overly polished plates but dishes that come with warmth and a touch of Southern soul — meals that feel like they belong to the company around the table.

More than just a bar, Knock Knock delivers layers of experiences under one roof: an oyster bar’s charm, the casual thrill of a sports bar, and the pulse of live music that animates the evenings. The presence of dartboards, pool tables, and a well-curated jukebox invites guests to take ownership of their night — whether it’s a lively sing-along, a competitive round of darts, or simply soaking in the soundtrack of local life.

There’s something distinctly human in the way patrons drift in to share stories over a cold Guinness or a freshly pulled Bud Light, often staying longer than planned. It feels like a place where everyone is free to be themselves — a relaxed dive with a heart, where the atmosphere is crafted by its people as much as by its offerings. The Knock Knock isn’t just a stop along US-90; it’s an experience stitched into the fabric of Waveland’s night.

The Knock Knock is one of our favorite spots! The food is always delicious, the onion rings are truly the best, and their happy hour can’t be beat. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the live bands make the atmosphere even better. Highly recommend! Always a great experience!

local dive spot with a very cool backstory. Decent placr to pop in for a drink and a quick bite to eat. Food is always hot, ingredients are quality and the oysters po boy was fried hard like I like it. if you wanna play some darts with a friend, listen to some good tunes or just get stupid without ‘much’ judgement, go. So yeah, the clientele is questionable, but Mitch is amazing and he’s really the reason I go. That and the bad ass jukebox. I like to throw in some money, play a little rage against the machine or maybe a little Belinda Carlisle, sip my old fashioned , spread some joy with my man, Mitch, nosh like I was just released from camp, and then float out of there feeling a little better than I walked in . Five stars for that reason.

Fun divey bar with pool tables and dartboards, and more importantly a TouchTunes. No frills needed, the service is awesome, the bartenders know what they’re doing, the food hits the spot, and you’ll make of it what you will. Pretty much a choose your own adventure kind of establishment

I had the absolute best quesadilla I've ever eaten in my long life at this joint. Everything is homemade, not frozen food from a warehouse. They cook their own chicken, grind their own Grade A beef, grill their own peppers, and hand roll fresh mozzarella with house made batter for incredibly fresh, delicious cheese sticks. They do allow smoking at the bar, but they serve delicious, fresh food until midnight. Treat yourself and give the Knock Knock a go!

Mitch was awesome. Best shot I've had in the area yet! Can't wait to go back.
